Hours of Operation
The library is open Monday-Friday during school hours. Students may check out books, place books on hold, ask for book suggestions, and read quietly before school and with their regularly scheduled ELA class. Students may return books at any time by placing them in the book return box outside of the library.
Library Fines
As of January 2019, we will no longer be charging overdue library fines at LOM; however, we ask students who are finished reading their books return them to the return box so the book will be available to other students.
Lost and Damaged Books
If a book is lost or damaged, the book must be paid for before the end of the school year. Payment for a lost or damaged book is reimbursed should the book be found and returned in good condition. Debts remaining at the end of the school year may be turned in to the office and become a part of the student’s permanent file. Any items checked out at the time a student withdraws from school must be returned and paid for upon withdrawal. Students will not be given schedules at orientation if they still owe money to Live Oak Middle School. If a student is facing a hardship, and cannot pay for the damaged/lost book, please email librarian [email protected]
